Overview

The Information Technology Management program aims to produce graduates that have general business management (accounting, human resources, marketing and operations) and information technology skills that will prepare them for a variety of business functions.  Students will recognize that value that information systems provide for business improvement and gain hands-on computer skills with a variety of Microsoft applications.  Furthermore, graduates have the opportunity to transfer to degree programs and gain professional accreditation after graduating from BCIT.

The Program

In the first year, all Information Technology Management students complete the same core courses as all Management students with the exception of Operation Management and Project Management.  In the second level, focus is directed towards information technology, e-commerce, networking and problem solving.  Higher level accounting and finance complete the requirements for the diploma.
